JOSEPH (JOEY) WAYNE MICHALIK, '90 SHSU Agribusiness graduate, passed away September 3, 2000, at the age of 34. Michalik was the Director of Purchasing and Transportation at Prince Agri Manufacturing in Quincy, Illinois. Joey is survived by his wife and his sons, Trevor Moody and Hayden Michalik, both of Quincy, Illinois; Ronnie Michalik of Denton, Texas; sister, Roxane Michalik of Round Rock; and brother, Charles Walter Michalik Jr.

STEPHEN E. BAGGETT, '77 SHSU graduate, passed away February 17, 2000. Mr. Baggett was born November 3, 1952 and lived the majority of his life in Tyler. He was a Lifetime Member of the SHSU Alumni Association as well as the Agriculture Alumni Association. Baggett was employed by TXU for 19 years and was in the position of land manager for the company. He was also a licensed real estate broker and a licensed private pilot. Stephen is survived by his wife of 24 years, Mrs. Cathy Baggett of Mount Sylvan; son, David Baggett of Mount Sylvan; mother, Mrs. Margaret Majors of Tyler; two brothers, Mike Baggett of Tyler and Mark Baggett of Longview; and one niece and two nephews.
